Hey guys! 🙂
Soooooooooooooooo…. in my free time apart from vigorously damaging my liver, I like to do other things too (I really do) like catch up on my TV shows.
I have a few shows that I watch religiously but unfortunately the season has ended for those ones or have been discontinued. So I was scrolling and scrolling and scrolling and scrolling and even looked online to find shows with good ratings but nothing really appealed to me. Then I remembered a show that one of my friends had recommended and now i’m hooked. So what I want to do with this post is make a list of a few shows that I really enjoy/enjoyed and hopefully you will too 🙂
1. Downton Abbey
First of all my darlings it’s Downton Abbey and not DOWNTOWN Abbey. Second of all, Dowager is my homegirl! Once you start watching this show, you’ll know exactly what I mean. Lady Dowager is the man with her witty comebacks LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! The best thing about this show is the subtle humour. I wont lie, the first episode was a bit hard to watch. It was BORING and I couldn’t understand the hype but then I watched the second episode and then the third and then… BAM! I was hooked like an eagle’s beak. D.A is a British drama set in the early 1900’s that takes you through the fascinating lives of the Crawley family and the servant’s at the Abbey. The majestic home, the glamorous clothes and the chemistry between the characters gives this one a 5 star.
Shonda Rhimes. That is all. Oh and just a reminder that scandal is back on tomorrow!!! Be prepared with a bottle of red wine…or two. EXCITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay so here’s the 5 stages of watching Scandal
Step 1: Prepare for Scandal
Step 2: Watch on edge of your seat
Step 3: Be SLAYED in the last 5 minutes
Step 4: Be in your feelings for an hour after
Step 5: Talk theories about what happened
No one judge me for this one please. My guilty pleasure! It’s basically about an alcoholic single dad and his six children and their crazy chaotic lives. So stupid but so funny. Just a heads up, there’s a lot of swearing and a lot of boobies LOL!!
4. How To Get Away With Murder
Once again. Shonda Rhimes. All I want to say is that I think I’m starting to feel a bit emotionally victimized by Shonda Rhimes
So um I watched the first season of Empire in less than 24 hours ( not even joking ) That is how good this one is. I had super high expectations of season 2 so was a bit disappointed with how slow it started but SHIIIITTT did it get better.
Good music + Epic performance
6. Jane the Virgin
Very light romantic Comedy Drama that I’m currently watching. At first I thought this was going to be silly but it turned out to actually be quite funny. Jane is the daughter of a teen mum who didn’t want to end up making the same mistakes that her mum made. Buuuuuuuuuut Jane’s life turned upside down when Jane got inseminated by mistake and the sperm donor turned out to be her boss. If that’s not complicated I don’t know what is.
Lots of people that I have talked to have given me mixed feedback on what they thought of Quantico and I’m not too sure why or how but I kinda really liked this one. Maybe because I watched it with very low expectations expecting Priyanka Chopra to overact and kill the whole series but hey I was impressed. Not very original and I felt like it was a bit similar to HTGAWM but still a good watch.
Some shows on my to watch list:
- The Good Wife
- Fuller House
Feel free to comment the names of any TV series that you think are worth a watch 🙂
